1. About PersonalReg

PersonalReg is a trading name of Startup Coach Limited, a company registered in England & Wales. We operate as a personalised number plate search and comparison service, helping customers find registrations from the DVLA and authorised dealers.

DVLA is a registered trademark of the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency. PersonalReg is not affiliated to the DVLA or DVLA Personalised Registrations. PersonalReg is a recognised reseller of DVLA registrations.

2. Our Commitment to Customers

We are committed to:

  • Treating all customers fairly, honestly, and with respect
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information about registrations, pricing, and availability
  • Being transparent about all costs, including DVLA transfer fees and VAT
  • Never using misleading or deceptive advertising practices
  • Ensuring all registration marks displayed on our website are correctly spaced and represented in accordance with current legislation

3. Pricing Transparency

All prices displayed on our website clearly show the breakdown of costs the customer is expected to pay, including:

  • The standard purchase price of the registration
  • The DVLA transfer fee (currently £80)
  • VAT where applicable
  • Any additional fees for services such as plate manufacturing or recorded delivery

DVLA Government Stock is clearly labelled as such in all advertising and listings. We do not add hidden charges or undisclosed fees.

4. Advertising Standards

We commit to the following advertising standards:

  • All information and references to the DVLA are kept accurate and maintained in accordance with current legislation
  • We do not portray the DVLA or its Personalised Registration schemes in a negative or detrimental way
  • We do not use misleading terms such as “pre-order”, “buy online”, or “buy now” for registrations that have not yet been made available for purchase by the DVLA
  • We do not link to or endorse number plate manufacturers who produce mis-spaced or mis-represented number plates

5. Customer Data & Privacy

We comply with all applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data is collected only for the purposes of providing our services and is never shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
